AOBA, the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington, is the leading membership organization representing commercial and multi-family residential real estate in the Washington, DC area. Serving members for more than 35 years since its establishment in 1974, AOBA continues to protect and enhance the value of its members’ investments through effective leadership and advocacy, information exchange, and professional development.
BOMA, the Building Owners and Managers Association, founded in 1907, is a professional organization for commercial real estate professionals based in the United States and Canada. BOMA International has been recognized with a 2018 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award for its continued leadership in protecting the environment through superior energy efficiency achievements. BOMA International now has received a total of 11 ENERGY STAR awards.
BSCAI, Building Service Contractors Association International, is an international organization dedicated to the service contracting industry. Members are informed of current market values in equipment, techniques and supplies; members also receive the latest updates about cost effectiveness and industry innovations. IFMA, the International Facility Management Association is a professional membership association which exists to guide and develop facility management professionals by providing services, products, resources and opportunities. IREM, the Institute of Real Estate Management, is an international community of real estate managers dedicated to ethical business practices, maximizing the value of investment real estate, and promoting superior management through education and information sharing. An affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, IREM is the home for all industry professionals connected to real estate management, serving both the multi-family and commercial sectors.
PMA, The Property Management Association, is an independent nonprofit organization founded in 1952 to serve the national capital area's property management community. Its goal is to provide a means for the practical education of those responsible for managing real estate. The members of PMA are property managers, and the associate members provide products and services that property management firms need.
